TO SEE – Fish

CONTRIBUTED BY PAMELA OLIVERAS

We had some real nice submissions this week, go check them out here...This week I am featuring a 'fish' of the wobbly kind. The beautiful Jellyfish. I could watch these for hours at the Okinawa Aquarium and Heather Nordell has captured a great shot of a few of them...(I will presume that's where this shot was taken, couldn't get a hold of Heather)...

Best to see them from behind glass rather than running into them in the sea at your local beach. Okinawa has a few Marine hazards. The box jellyfish (which I don't think Heather's photo is? anyone?) is very dangerous. See some other marine hazards here.

Since this week Americans are gearing up to celebrate the 4th July, I thought it would be fitting to see how the Okinawans do it (and if you have been here a while, you certainly know there are a lot of celebrations out here!)

Yes it was taken at the Aquarium and not they aren’t box jelly fish. I love jelly fish and could sit and watch them for hours – behind glas of course. They are such a beautiful fish!

I think they’re called moon jelly fish. My girls were loving them the last time we went up there :)
