I recently received an email from Kimberly with a travel question. Can anyone help her out?
Has anyone ever stayed overnight on Tsuken Island ? I know there’s a small hotel there from our last day trip but can’t seem to find any info on prices, making a reservation, etc. Has anyone been there or have suggestions?

The people at the Schilling are EXCELLENT at helping you find places and calling and making reservations. I would stop by and chat with them.
About Tsuken-jima, I just ran a search in Japanese and found the following contacts for a small travel and tours org. It’s called Kamiya Kanko, and it’s located in Uruma, fairly close to the facility at White Beach. They specialize in arranging availability and providing information on Tsuken-jima. Hope this helps…

Found another phone number for a lodging facility on Tsuken-jima.
Name of the lodge is Ai-lee Pension.
Phone number is 080-1700-7832
My family moved to Okinawa from Tsuken a while back and I’ve always wondered about the history of the people. I’ve always been told a story about another culture that moved there and settled with the people there. I wont mention who, but would like to know if there is more to this story.
